Tonight’s Austin City Limits headliner, The Black Keys, delighted audience tonight with old favorites and new singles. Going on at 8:15, they opened with Howlin’ For You as the sun had set and the evening brought a cool breeze. Dan Auerbach’s interaction with the crowd was great as usual—this was my fourth time to see them live, and my second time seeing them at ACL. They played with the fierce intensity and raw power of their earlier albums, and the polish of their new ones. The crowd went insane when The Black Keys played one of their biggest fan-favorites, ‘Your Touch’. They then proceeded to play quite a few new songs before closing out the show with one of their older hits, ‘I Got Mine’.
They sounded as fantastic as they always do and did not fail to disappoint—The Black Keys made an amazing headlining band for the first night of Austin City Limits.
