Michael Fassbender starring in latest Terrence Malick project

Image courtesy of The PlaylistIn a rather grainy image, Michael Fassbender is the lastest actor spotted filming the Terrence Malick’s most recent project alongside Ryan Gosling.
Malick has been filming an untitled project (known as “Lawless” until Malick let friend John Hillcoat use the name for the gangster flick that came out in late August) in Playmaker territory – Austin, Texas. Not much is known about the film other than it follows two intertwined love triangles involved in a tale of sexual obsession and betrayal set against Austin’s music scene. It’s also set to star Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Natalie Portman, Rooney Mara and Haley Bennett (“The Haunting of Molly Hartley,” “Marley & Me”).
Knowing Malick, the project will most likely be kept under wraps until it’s release sometime next year (or so we hear). This is the third film Malick has worked in the last year – unusual for the usually reclusive slow-paced filmmaker. He’s just finished filming “Knight of Cups,” also starring Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett and Natalie Portman. Another film, “To the Wonder,” was recently picked up for release by Magnolia Pictures.
