If you caught the Global Citizen Festival on TV this weekend or got the chance to attend the fest at Central Park (and if you did go, can we just say we are extremely jealous?), you might have heard that Foo Fighters are going on hiatus. Maybe. Are they? Actually we have no idea. But frontman Dave Grohl delivered some cryptic messages during the concert that hinted at a break for the band:
“Without making a big deal out of it, we don’t have any shows after this,” Grohl said to the crowd of an estimated 60,000 people. “This is it man. This is the show where we come out and we play as many songs as we can in a short period of time, because honestly I don’t know when we’re going to do it again.”
Of course, Grohl also claimed it was Foo’s ”last show for a long time” back in August at Reading Festival in England. We guess two months is a long time these days?
In all seriousness, Foo Fighters don’t have another scheduled show listed on their website, but the site does say more shows will be added soon. Hmm…
What do you think of Grohl’s statements?
