Now that Angry Birds is forever burned into our collective pop consciousness, it’s time to raise money for charity! No, we mean it.
After being unable to avoid being turned into a hologram earlier this year, the late lead singer of Queen, Freddie Mercury is now an Angry Bird for charity. In support of Freddie For A Day—a charity experience that asks participants to dress up like Freddie Mercury (wear your mustaches tomorrow folks!) in an effort to raise AIDS awareness—Rovio Entertainment (the creators of Angry Birds) has turned Freddie into a bird that rides a bicycle to Queen’s “Bicycle Race”
You can get a limited edition Freddie Mercury Angry Bird T-shirt, a portion of the proceeds of which go to the AIDS awareness charity The Mercury Phoenix Trust over at Shop Bravado.
