If you’re looking for the latest sensation in pop music, Asher Monroe is your man. The pop artist’s new music video for “Like I Do” has had over 1.5 million hits since November 7th. Even Justin Bieber would turn his head at those numbers. It’s clear that Monroe’s voice is connecting with people.
“All of my music is written straight from the heart so I hope people really feel something when they hear my songs,” says Monroe. “I couldn’t be more excited that people all over the world are embracing ‘Like I Do,’ and I can’t wait to get more of my new music out there.”
The video, directed by Barney Patterson, has added a contemporary spin on the classic love song, in which we get to see Monroe travel in Southern California to offer his affection to his love interest.

He’s got the musical background to match up against any young artist, having toured on Broadway in productions of Beauty and the Beast and The Sound of Music. He also killed it in the 2009 Fame remake. You don’t land those gigs by hiding behind autotune and why would Monroe? His voice is phenomenal.
